Charte Charter
Depuis sa création en 1980, le Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon propose un enseignement dans lequel la création a une place importante, et notamment avec la mise en place récente de l’Espace Transversal de Création. L’objet de cette charte est de présenter le département de création musicale rouage essentiel de l’ETC, et ainsi faire en sorte que celui-ci soit plus lisible et visible au sein du conservatoire mais également et surtout hors les murs.
Since its creation in 1980, the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon has offered education in which creation has an important place, particularly with the recent establishment of the Espace Transversal de Création. The purpose of this pedagogic space is to present the musical creation department main partner of the ETC, and thus make it more readable and visible within the conservatory, but also and above all, outside the walls of the conservatory.
Au-delà de l’ETC, c’est tout le CNSMD de Lyon qui devient un ”conservatoire d’aujourd’hui” grâce, entre-autre, à la création sous toutes ses formes. L’ETC associe au cursus de création musicale : le Labo Scènes ActuelleS, le cursus de troisième cycle Artist Diploma, l’Atelier XX-21, les départements danse et de musique de chambre et l’atelier d’improvisation, créant ainsi un cadre exceptionnel de propositions pédagogiques de création.
Beyond the ETC, the entire CNSMD of Lyon is becoming a ”here an now conservatory » thanks, among other things, to creation in all its forms. The ETC combines different creation frames : the Labo Scènes ActuelleS, the graduate cycle Artist Diploma, Atelier XX-21, the dance and chamber music departments and the improvisation collective, thus creating an exceptional educational creation framework.
Entrer dans un établissement d’enseignement artistique ne peut se résumer à ”prendre des cours”, fussent-ils de grande qualité. Il s’agit d’aider l’étudiant.e à prendre conscience de son engagement artistique, et dans le même temps, à appréhender à travers une proposition artistique et pédagogique élargie, une ouverture sur l’ensemble des compétences et disciplines qui constituent le spectacle vivant.
Entering an art education institution is more than « taking lessons, » even if they are of high quality. We are here to help student to become aware of his artistic commitment, and at the same time, able to apprehend through a broad artistic and pedagogical proposal, an open vision of the skills and disciplines which constitute the performing Arts.
L’ambition du département est d’être à même de pouvoir accompagner le mieux possible les projets d’étudiant.e.s. Pour ce faire, tout en étant responsable de l’ETC, le chef de département est l’interface pédagogique entre les étudiant.e.s, les enseignants et l’établissement, prenant en compte la cohérence et la lisibilité de la programmation sur l’ensemble de la programmation.
The department’s ambition is to be able to support student projects as well as possible. To do this, while being responsible for ETC, the head of department is the educational interface between students, teachers and the establishment, taking into account the consistency and legibility of the artistic season.
Cette dynamique permettra à l’ETC d’être reconnu à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur du CNSMD de Lyon. Celle-ci ne peut se résumer à un projet d’étudiant.e, celle-ci doit servir de vitrine à l’ensemble des productions et de l’énergie que cela génère. Il est donc important que l’ensemble des travaux des étudiant.e.s entrent dans une dynamique collective. Il s’agit de considérer le département à la fois comme un lieu de création, et dans le même temps, comme un outil de diffusion. C’est ce mouvement qui nous permettra de nous ”exporter” auprès de nos partenaires, que ce soit au sein du conservatoire, en région (ENS – ENSBA – ENSATT…) et au- delà à travers nos conventions avec the Taipei National University of the Arts, Berkeley CNMAT, IRCAM, Grame, CN D…entre-autre
This dynamic will allow the ETC to be recognized inside and outside the CNSMD of Lyon. This cannot be summed up as a student project, it must serve as a showcase for all the productions and the energy that this generates. It is therefore important that all of the students’ work enter into a collective dynamic. It is a question of considering the department both as a place of creation, and at the same time, as a dissemination tool. It is this movement that will allow us to “export” to our partners, around the conservatory with different universities (ENS – ENSBA – ENSATT…) and beyond through our conventions with the Taipei National University of the Arts, Berkeley CNMAT, IRCAM, Grame, CN D… among others
Être étudiant.e dans le département de création musicale du CNSMD de Lyon, c’est avant tout être acteur.trice et porteur.se de sa propre démarche artistique. C’est avoir la chance de croiser des interprètes de très haut niveau et de pouvoir ainsi se constituer un réseau.
Being a student in the musical creation department of the CNSMD of Lyon means above all being an actor and bearer of your own artistic approach. It’s the chance to meet very high-level interpreters and to be able to build a network.
Il s’agit ni plus ni moins de créer pendant la durée d’un cursus, un collectif éphémère de compositeurs, instrumentistes, danseurs, chorégraphes… concernés et enthousiastes. C’est cette énergie que l’ETC se propose de partager avec le plus grand nombre, à travers toutes sortes d’aventures artistiques.
It is no more and no less than creating for the duration of a course, an ephemeral collective of composers, interpreters, dancers, choreographers … concerned and enthusiastic. It is this energy that ETC intends to share through all kinds of artistic adventures.
